There’s a reason I haven’t been writing posts. I’ve been working on a website called Pop Mirror.  I’ve been doing a lot of art for the site.  Pop Mirror’s not made yet but you can get a taste of it on its facebook page.  http://on.fb.me/i5Qqej Its fame and pop culture shown through pop art.

Like the facebook page to see cartoons of celebs like Charlie Sheen and to say other ones you want to see.

And Previews of comics like Snow that will be on the site. Snow is a modern retelling of Snow White.  In this version Snow’s got more attitude than the Disney version. She’s  trying to just get through high school, but being who she is, she is surrounded by fameballs and the jealous eye of her stepmother

The cover of the Comic snowYou can ask for cartoons you want to see either at http://on.fb.me/i5Qqej or on twitter @Popmirror.

New Year’s Resolutions

January 15, 2010 at 1:07 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , , , , , , )

I never really made a resolutions before for New Years, but I guess 2010 is as good a year as any to make some.  It’s not exactly 2012 if you get my drift.  The economy may be bad but its getting better.  Do these resolutions ever work? I know they’re not supposed to be vague, should be small and not seem impossible.  Guess I’ll find out throughout the year if they work.

Play my Guitar more  I haven’t played at all lately 😦 Thing is I have to keep my fingernails cut and I like them long and even when I do cut them I still have to find time to play.

Exercise more Isn’t this on everyone’s resolution?

Blog more I took a long break and now I’m back and I plan to stay back. I also want to make my blog better and more interesting so people’ll read it.

Figure out Twitter.  I’m there but to tell you the truth I don’t know how to do much on it.  Like how do trending topics happen? And how do you use them to your advantage?  How about twitpic and gaining followers? I think I have like two and one is like a Donald Trump ad person.

Finish my comic Snow and get it published or at least put it online

Either make it big quick or go back to school and I’m sure you can guess which is more likely to happen.

Get another job as long as its part time it doesn’t really matter what kind.  I just need the moolah.

Meet more people and stay in touch with the ones I do know.  I seem to be doing better at this one already.

Paint and draw more. More art throughout the year.

And lastly and most importantly find the time to do all this. I never feel that I have enough time for everything.  Time seems to slip through my fingers.

I guess I better get to it.

Anyone else made New Year’s resolutions?

Gift of a GPS and scarves

January 12, 2010 at 1:13 pm (fashion, Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , , , )

I’m so far behind on my blog I’m still talking about Christmas.  Two gifts I received were a GPS and some scarves.  I love both of these gifts, but they both have a dark side.

Now when I got the GPS I was like yay I’m never going to get lost again.  Wrong.  Sure a GPS gives you directions, but if you’re given the wrong pronouncation of a word or the wrong address it can’t do much to help.  I heard west end instead of weston and it took me somewhere else.  At least I wasn’t like the couple who followed their GPS then got stuck in the snow.  At least their GPS got them found thanks to the signal, but that was three days later.  But seriously would you go down a back road in the snow?

I also received some beautiful fashion scarves for Christmas.  I’m so excited American women are wearing scarves.  I had envied foreign women their scarves for some time.  But I hate to be morbid when I say this.  Scarves are as dangerous as the capes on the Incredibles.  They are long and tend to get caught up in things.  A dancer in the 20s, Isadora Duncan, died when her scarf got caught up in a car’s wheel.  More recently a teen died when her scarf got tangled in a go-kart and a woman’s scarf got caught in a machine.  Scarves are dangerous, but I love them.  I also tend to tie them so they don’t  hang loose, because I really don’t want to have an accident involving a scarf.
