I feel like a Monster…Monster’s are taking over

June 2, 2010 at 7:35 pm (music, pop culture) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

I was listening to Rihanna Distubia today and that line “I feel like a monster,” made me think. There has been a lot of monsters mentioned in music lately and the talk of monsters always reminds of that send in the Little Mermaid and all the poor unfortunate souls.  Does listening to music about monsters or being called a little monster make you think of those green things grabbing for anything they can hold on to or make you feel like them? Or is it just me?

Anyways besides Disturbia, there’s Monster by Lady Gaga on the Fame Monster and all all her fans are Little Monsters. Then Neyo just did a song called Beautiful monster. And I would say that’s a lot of monsters in pop music right now.

Then there’s the appearance of the Big Bad Wolf in Monster and Taio Cruz Break your Heart, would you say they were the same? But that’s another matter.

Fusari’s full of Sh*t

March 26, 2010 at 10:57 am (music, pop culture) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Yeah I edited shit. But that’s what Fusari’s full of shit.  He’s been talking smack about Gaga well before he announced he was suing her.  He’s been trying make her look bad and of course Gawker was on to this more than anyone else.  With the junk Fusari has been saying in the NYP and nj.  She’s almost got a case for defamation.  She’s getting him for manipulating her when she was younger. Yeah the dude’s like twice her age and had experience in the music biz when she didn’t.  I can see that.   He’s really mad and been talking shit for months before hand.  The man’s basically calling himself Dr. Frankenstein and saying that Gaga is his monsters that has gone free.  Whtevers even if that is the case she’s better off free. Besides in the book Frankenstein rejected his creation which is why he went off anyways. Either way Fusari is a total FAIL.

If you haven’t heard  Rob Fusari, Gaga’s ex,  is suing Lady Gaga for $30 million dollars for not paying royalties and some such.  And I bet he was the boyfriend who Gaga told Cosmopolitan “I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail.”  Rob as a producer and “image creator” probably thought she had to be exactly as he wanted her to be to succeed.

Thankfully Gaga’s fighting back. And if he was the one who told her these hateful words.  Gaga’s response “Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee at the fucking deli without hearin or seeing me,” has come true.

Update: According to  New York Entertainment  it was not Fusari who said those hateful things, but Luc.  And btw this article details her whole rise.  Its a must read, even though its really long.

Manifesto of a little monster

February 7, 2010 at 10:27 pm (fashion, music) (, , , , , , , )

A friend recently sent me some pics that remind her of me  and in her words “Not in a creepy alien way, but in a nice fuzzy GaGa way.”  But of course they are creepy,  in a Gaga way.  I don’t know what nice and fuzzys all about.  What’s the scariest about them is they remind her of me. But even though they are creepy I kind of do like them when I think about it.  I’m not sure what this says about me.  Maybe just that I am in fact a little monster.

Look at the pics:

This model looks like she’s gonna keel over soon either from smoking too much or not eating enough.  Maybe a combo of both.

This one looks like something Gaga wore in Manifesto of a Little Monster.

This is one freaky video that Lady gaga did for her Monster Ball.  Shows craziness. But I guess all little monsters have craziness.

I know they probably reminded her of Gaga which in turn reminded her of me cuz I’m just a little obsessed, well maybe more than a little…

Lady Blah Blah no Gaga

January 16, 2010 at 11:42 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , , , , )

I’m offended Sarah Palin’s being compared to Lady Gaga even on the DL.  What did Gaga do to deserve such a slight?  Seriously the New York Times Op Ed compares the two directly.

Lady Blah Blah is obviously a play on Lady Gaga.  Of Palin  “And, she has one of the best poker faces in the game —” and that “She continues to command the spotlight while they dance in the dark.” and “this fame monster who seems to have the stamina to endure until the end.”

It’s really kind of funny.  This Gaga language really gets to the base of Sarah Palin.  She is a fame monster.

Sadly I thought that Palin was going to be on Oprah the same day as Lady Gaga and James Cameron.  I would have loved to have seen Palin’s face at seeing Gaga’s fans  little monsters seeing that a little went to the show in costume.  Could you image?

A Monster Bad Romance Vid

November 10, 2009 at 2:08 pm (anime, art, fashion, music) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

I wonder if Lady gaga watches much anime or if this is a coincidence.  The cross in the monster as part of the title font and the big anime eyes in the  music video. They were so freaky.  I thought they came out in the beginning like they’re vampires or creatures born of the abyss.

Also in the vid there’s the attack of the Alexander Mcqueen monster.  She had premiered Bad Romance at the Alexander Mcqueen show so I guess that’s understandable.  And that polar bear dress was fierce.  There’s also a bit of East European feel to it to go along with that Russian sound that she uses in the song.  The only thing I thought was really scary was that cat.  I don’t know why but it freaked me out.

And the end is a surprise so if you haven’t seen it I won’t spoil it where strangely she looks like Amy Winehouse. I love the vid.  What do you think?

Madonna vs. Lady Gaga

October 5, 2009 at 12:46 pm (music) (, , , , , , , , , )

Have you watched any vids featuring pop divas like Madonna and Lady Gaga battling it out with words using what looks like a lego video game.  There’s a lot of them out there.  This is just one.   Be forewarned if you’re easily offended don’t watched that vid or the next link. They look like the one Richard Pryor SNL skit with Chevy Chase.  Unfortanately I couldn’t find the real vid but here’s a link.  Really funny.  Basically they insult each other when that wasn’t the intention for the characters to see each other.

Watching Madonna and Lady Gaga battle it out in real life is much funnier than the stiff video game figures.  Their SNL skit was hilarious.  I thought it was kind of scary though.  Madonna was looking extra skinny and muscular, but she would have beat the crap out of Lady Gaga.  I’m wondering if Madonna’s got some hidden anger somewhere.  Kinda looked like she was really going to beat Gaga up.  Gaga needs to be careful around Madonna.  And I thought Lady Gaga was scary with her Phantom of the Opera dress and monster fixation. She did do a monster thing @ 1:30 Looks like Madonna got where she is today for a reason (in addition to talent because sadly talent isn’t enough to find so much success. )

What do you think?
