Bat for Lashes

Bat for Lashes new album, Two Suns,  was released on the 6th of April.  I haven’t bought it yet, but definitely want to.  The songs on this album have a raw element of music in them that I think has been lost.  The 60s and 70s were great for songs with real emotion.  The 80s had some good ones too.  As time wore on the “real” songs went somewhere. I’m not talking about that emo crap people seem to think is emotion now.  I’m talking about emotion from the depth of the soul, not not that weepy stuff.  An important part of showing emotion in music is real music.  After synthesizers came into affect, music became softer and when voices became more electronic it became more robotic with less emotion, realness.  Our music has become really fake and overworked.  It was refreshing for me to hear such “real” music.
