wii u controller

Nintendo showed off its controller for its next system, the Wii U, at E3. The controller with its own user interface. The player can play the game directly on the controller which has a 6.2 inch touch screen. This allows the player to interact with the game very much like people are interacting more and more often with the world around them, through a mobile device.

Nintendo looked at how people are increasingly interacting with the world through tablets and smart phones and applied it directly to its next system.  What will this bring to gaming? What does interacting with the real world through mobile devices bring? With mobile devices people are interacting with the world less directly and are missing out on reality. Whereas this controller will have you looking at the big screen less often.  I like mobile devices. They do let you get more out of reality, I think, as long as you don’t let them take over you or cause you to walk into fountains.  I for one don’t want this issue with the new Wii U controller, having  Mario falling down holes or Link running into Baddies all the time.

What do you think about the Wii u controller? Yea or Nay?
