I drive a Space Ship

I drive a space ship, but its not a Lincoln and I’m not Lady Gaga, but I may be gaga.  Everyone says she has a space ship, which I definitely could believe with the way she dresses.

Those Lincoln commercials got me thinking they’re selling space ships which in my opinion is really awesome. Its got futuristic 80s music that are all covers for some reason but are still cool and they say awesome things like space ships don’t have keys.  If I liked the way the Lincoln looked over the car I have (which I don’t) and had the money I would probably buy a Lincoln based on the commercial.

Major Tom by Shiny Toy Guns instead of Peter Schilling

Space Oddity by Cat Power instead of David Bowie

Burnin’ for you by Shiny Toy Guns (Lincoln must love them or they just like 80s covers) instead of Blue Oyster Cult

Under the Milky Way by Sia instead of The Church

I drive a Honda Civic ’09 and it comes complete with an electric speedometer and a video gamish steering wheel.  Its sleek fast and as a pinstrip down the side and its really low to the ground and oval.

Yes I love space ships and futuristic music and people too if you haven’t figured it out and I’m not ashamed.  How about you? And have you noticed the Lincoln commercials at all?

Evil Hell Bent Creature

January 19, 2010 at 11:31 am (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , )

A creature chewed up the wires in my dad’s car.  Now I fear for the safety of mine.  My car’s too new to get chewed up.  What kind of evil fiend is doing this? Going up under the hood and chewing the wires?

Something along the lines of this

Sadly I do suspect a kitten that got cold and sought the heat of the car but then began to play with the wires and chew them because that’s what kittens do.  Or it could be the bandit known as the raccoon.  We have those too.

Insurance eww

May 25, 2009 at 2:39 am (rant) (, , , , , , , , , , , )

Well now that I’m out of college and supposedly on my own, thanks to the economy I’m not really, I have to pay for my own insurance and stuff.  And really I wonder how people can do anything.  It’s why so many people do not have insurance.  It costs so much.  Health insurance for a healthy young person is out of hand.

And then car insurance…if you don’t pay for it you still have to pay 500 or so to the dmv so you might as well.  What’s another few hundred bucks in a year? And if you want a nice, sporty car forget it.  Even if its affordable price wise insurance might run about the same as the car.  And then for cars interest is just plain yucky. Then after all this stuff still have to worry about gas and what if it goes back over $3? It looks like its climbing again.

I really hope things get better insurance wise, because right now the standard of living is high.

 Hyundai Tiburon

 Chevy Colbalt

So I like these two cars. When they aren’t as high as the going market price around 15 or 16,000 they’re good prices.  However once insurance attaches itself to the price…because they’re so sporty the insurance is fairly high. Seems they want people to drive normal boring cars, but since I don’t want to I’m going to be charged.  And I can’t image what that price would be if I was a guy my age.

Looks like I won’t be making a living on art. Wouldn’t be able to afford anything.
