There’s a reason I haven’t been writing posts. I’ve been working on a website called Pop Mirror.  I’ve been doing a lot of art for the site.  Pop Mirror’s not made yet but you can get a taste of it on its facebook page.  http://on.fb.me/i5Qqej Its fame and pop culture shown through pop art.

Like the facebook page to see cartoons of celebs like Charlie Sheen and to say other ones you want to see.

And Previews of comics like Snow that will be on the site. Snow is a modern retelling of Snow White.  In this version Snow’s got more attitude than the Disney version. She’s  trying to just get through high school, but being who she is, she is surrounded by fameballs and the jealous eye of her stepmother

The cover of the Comic snowYou can ask for cartoons you want to see either at http://on.fb.me/i5Qqej or on twitter @Popmirror.

Blue Perez

June 17, 2010 at 8:15 pm (art) (, , , , , , , , , , )

Here’s one of Perez. Yeah he linked to a pic of Miley Cyrus that people are calling child porn, and that was stupid of Perez, but I don’t think he’s going to get in trouble for it. But it really doesn’t matter what you do, but basically if you’re famous and you take a cool pic I’ll turn you into a cartoon.  And I’m still on my Warhol kick. Besides I read his blog WAY too much and think that if I do a pic of him maybe I’ll get on there. So maybe I’m only doing pics of people that I like something about whether or not they are in fact crazy or stupid.  Someone else did a pic  of him and got it posted on his blog, but I think they actually sent it to him.  Maybe I should too.

Trying to beat the system

March 24, 2010 at 7:03 am (art, commercial, music) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

I seriously don’t know what to do to advertise anymore except to go all out freaking crazy, because everything always turns out to be a popularity contest or a “who’s crazier” type of thing. Popularity online is basically whose got the most connections, but it could also be that someone knows how to beat the system, because they know the system.  Unfortunately I’m like the jester who decided to take on a real job.  I don’t know what I’m doing and I’m just juggling different things different ways until I find what works.  Therefore I’m struggling like a fool on a fool’s errand in the pursuit of happiness.

I entered a commercial contest for q94 and I’m struggling to figure it all out.   Please vote at http://www.q94radio.com/pages/commercialvoting.html

See the Pursuit of happiness in a commercial. It might be sad that life’s come to that, but its best not to cry over spilled milk.

New Year’s Resolutions

January 15, 2010 at 1:07 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , , , , , , )

I never really made a resolutions before for New Years, but I guess 2010 is as good a year as any to make some.  It’s not exactly 2012 if you get my drift.  The economy may be bad but its getting better.  Do these resolutions ever work? I know they’re not supposed to be vague, should be small and not seem impossible.  Guess I’ll find out throughout the year if they work.

Play my Guitar more  I haven’t played at all lately 😦 Thing is I have to keep my fingernails cut and I like them long and even when I do cut them I still have to find time to play.

Exercise more Isn’t this on everyone’s resolution?

Blog more I took a long break and now I’m back and I plan to stay back. I also want to make my blog better and more interesting so people’ll read it.

Figure out Twitter.  I’m there but to tell you the truth I don’t know how to do much on it.  Like how do trending topics happen? And how do you use them to your advantage?  How about twitpic and gaining followers? I think I have like two and one is like a Donald Trump ad person.

Finish my comic Snow and get it published or at least put it online

Either make it big quick or go back to school and I’m sure you can guess which is more likely to happen.

Get another job as long as its part time it doesn’t really matter what kind.  I just need the moolah.

Meet more people and stay in touch with the ones I do know.  I seem to be doing better at this one already.

Paint and draw more. More art throughout the year.

And lastly and most importantly find the time to do all this. I never feel that I have enough time for everything.  Time seems to slip through my fingers.

I guess I better get to it.

Anyone else made New Year’s resolutions?

Julie & Julia

January 13, 2010 at 12:19 pm (food, movies) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , )

I saw the movie Julie and Julia a few days ago.  I thought it was good, but it seemed kind of long, and it made me really hungry.  The food looked and sounded really good.   I really want some of Julia Child’s beef stew.  So I got the cookbook from the library and then realized beef’s expensive and so are a lot of those recipes.  Not to mention how long the cookbook is. Julie really was determined to go through it and blog about it.  Consistent blogging is tough.  I would know, considering how often I take breaks.  I just got off one.  And coming back is always hard.

Julie’s blog was all about how she got through Julia Child’s cookbook.  It was actually more of a year long project which attracted a lot of attention.  You can check it out here from the beginning if you’re interested. There’s a book too.  Seems interesting to me.  Now if only I can think of something that interesting.

I don’t know if I’ll make the beef stew.    Although beef is cheaper now because of the economy.  Fancy restaurants aren’t buying up the good cuts, so I guess now would be a good time to have beef stew.  But cheaper is not cheap.  Istill have to check about the price, but it looked good in the movie and I like trying new things.  It might be worth spending a few extra bucks for.

Gaga Rumours

October 24, 2009 at 12:13 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

As usual there are strange rumours floating around and of course Lady Gaga has attracted a lot of them.  Here’s some I’ve heard.  If you’ve got more please tell me.

Like is she a man or a hermaphrodite?  Check this video on youtube people think its proof.  I don’t think so.  Just because her clothes are drag queen inspired (and less so as time goes on) doesn’t mean she is one.

A mind control victim of the Illuminati? Do people actually people in the Illuminati? Because this is just plain strange.  The symptoms of mind control are a degenerate personality, etc.  This site‘s got it all mapped out.  If you believe in an illuminati conspiracy maybe you’ve been watching National Treasure too much.  Although I can’t say if the illuminati exist or not.  Maybe they do.

An Alien?  Saw the parody?  And there are transmissions she made in which says she has been sent to Earth to infiltrate human culture one sequin at a time.  You can watch the transmissions on her blog.

A robot?  A lot of her dance moves are robotic so are some of her songs.  Especially the recorded ones with the autotune she uses.  Thankfully live she doesn’t sound so robotic.

I hope people don’t really believe half of these…I personally don’t believe any of it.  Alien, robot, illuminati? Huh.  Man or Hermaphrodite?  I don’t think so either.  But what do you think?  Think any of these are true?

TMZ vs. Perez Hilton

October 2, 2009 at 12:38 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , , , )

No they are not having a feud as far as I know, but if you are a reader of both blogs I’m sure you’ve noticed the differences.  Perez doodles over all the images and TMZ’s got snide remarks about everyone.  Both sites are biased towards and against different celebs. One big obvious bias is over Lady Gaga.  Perez loves her and writes about her as much as possible and in a favorable light while TMZ seems to think she’s the swamp thing or the ugly from the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Do you read these gossip sites or other ones and noticed this?  Not necessarily about Lady Gaga.  And what do you think about Gaga?  She has said she would rather have people love or hate her instead of feeling nothing about her.  This is definitely an example of that.

Twitter’s got power over you

April 14, 2009 at 8:17 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , , , , )

According to an article Twitter is part of a move toward news that is too fast for people to process correctly.  Which means we’re not going to show the correct emotional response to things.  Also, it could make us have all seem like we have ADD with really short attention spans.  Could end up like John Mayer and get sucked into Twitter.  Heard he spends like 5 hrs a day on Twitter and that was a reason for Jennifer Aniston breaking up with him.

Personally, I haven’t spent too much time on Twitter.  Facebook’s more of my thing and blogging too.  I don’t think people want to know every single part of my day.  Would you be interested in knowing what type of drink I have and when I drink it? The amazing thing is that it seems like senators and the like, basically people you wouldn’t think would Twitter, are the ones that think you would be interested in their drink choice.

Some people do Twitter relevent information.  I mean there was a Twitter revolution in Moldova earlier this month.  I hadn’t even known that many people had computers there, not to mention Twitterers. Moldova is a small country that was part of the Soviet Union.  Because the Communist part won the election, the young people, the Twitterers, twittered and formed a revolution.  The government hadn’t expected the number of protesters that came out or the chaos that ensued. So the revolution was called the Twitter Revolution.

Does Twitter have power over you or have you remained Twitter free?

Hello world!

January 9, 2008 at 1:12 am (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , , )

Hi,

I’m Kagehime from the William and Mary Comics blog.  I decided to blog on my on as while as with the comics club.  I’ve found that blogging is addictive so I made a personal blog.  Here I can write about myself and post pictures that I draw as well.  I could put pictures on the other site as well, but as seeing that I haven’t so far I doubt I will.  I haven’t drawn any pictures that match what I was writing about.

Besides it is more free doing my own blog, than being apart of another.  Although its going to get hard writing for two blogs considering that I am a full time student. Because I’m still on winter break I have the illusion of free time.

Kagehime

Since this is my own blog I can do silly stuff like this:

This is a picture of Harhi Suzumiya where I changed her expression and the color of her jacket from red to purple
