Strange thing about Tweeter
I have the most problems when I try using tweeter. I’m not sure if anyone else does or not. It seems to be down half the time and hacked a quarter of the time. The rest of the time it just seems picky as to what goes on there which means I don’t go on tweeter much.
Last time I attempted a tweet it just wouldn’t go on the site for some reason. It was like it was telling me not to write about co-workers or something even if its anonymous. I bet if I went on there now it would work, but I don’t feel like it.
The thing that I was going to write on Tweeter was that I think its strange that my co-worker looks like Perez Hilton and has the kids play a game called gaga. (Its a daycare).
But if that’s not strange what is?

Insurance eww
Well now that I’m out of college and supposedly on my own, thanks to the economy I’m not really, I have to pay for my own insurance and stuff. And really I wonder how people can do anything. It’s why so many people do not have insurance. It costs so much. Health insurance for a healthy young person is out of hand.
And then car insurance…if you don’t pay for it you still have to pay 500 or so to the dmv so you might as well. What’s another few hundred bucks in a year? And if you want a nice, sporty car forget it. Even if its affordable price wise insurance might run about the same as the car. And then for cars interest is just plain yucky. Then after all this stuff still have to worry about gas and what if it goes back over $3? It looks like its climbing again.
I really hope things get better insurance wise, because right now the standard of living is high.
Hyundai Tiburon
Chevy Colbalt
So I like these two cars. When they aren’t as high as the going market price around 15 or 16,000 they’re good prices. However once insurance attaches itself to the price…because they’re so sporty the insurance is fairly high. Seems they want people to drive normal boring cars, but since I don’t want to I’m going to be charged. And I can’t image what that price would be if I was a guy my age.
Looks like I won’t be making a living on art. Wouldn’t be able to afford anything.

Women to Bratz and aliens
Women need to make sure they eat. Well everyone need to eat, but some women are so busy trying to be skinny that they don’t eat. Because they aren’t eating their appearance changes. Their head appears bigger in comparison to the bodies and because the face is kind of emaciated too the eyes look bigger. This makes them look like bratz dolls or aliens. Seriously.
Look at this pic of Lindsay Lohan not that she’s the only one. It’s unfortunate but the look is getting more common.

This is really scary looking too

see how the alien has a skinny body, big head and eyes?
The Bratz’s heads are large in proportion to their bodies as well. It’s kind of like the anime characters big heads and eyes. This look scares me. I would much rather see normal looking women. Lindsay usually looks much better than the pic shown.
What do you think about this?

That was so wrong Jamie
Jamie Foxx said some horrible things about Miley Cyrus. I suppose it was in response to her saying she would destroy Radiohead for ignoring her. But that doesn’t give a grown man the right to say such things about her. Those comments were just downright mean. I’m not a Miley Cyrus fan, but I can say that adults should not say things like that about kids. The girl isn’t even 18 and he’s talking about her like that… eww…Jamie you upset me. You sounded just like a kid, but you’re not. Atleast when Miley says or does stupid things and acts childish, its understandable, because she’s not grown, and sometimes kids do stuff like that. When adults do and say things like that it comes off as beyond stupid. You should know better.

Fierce Swagger
The words firece and swagger are being used abused everywhere. Fierce was popular after Christian Siriano on Project Runway was seen using it, but I thought it went out afterwards. Now its back “Fiercer” than ever with everyone thinking so and so is fierce. I’m sorry but everyone is not fierce. And swagger… after hearing Swagger like you I know you may feel compelled to used the word, but its not for EVERY situation. And its popping up in songs like Black Eyed Peas new song Boom Boom Pow.
So before you use the words fierce or swagger think is it really fierce or is that really swagger.

Fashion puppet

Sometimes I think that we are all fashion puppets even if we don’t want to be. How does the fashion industry decide what’s going to be hot next season. I know they look at trends of what people are buying, but they have to look ahead and predict what people will want to buy.
One problem with this is that if things are out of fashion like a certain cut of jeans you can’t find them and all cuts of jeans do different things for people so not everyone can wear every cut. Skinny Jeans tends to make the butt look bigger because the legs are thin so the butt is accentuated. On the other hand flair jeans make the butt look smaller because of the balance of the flair. And flair jeans have been the main jeans selling for YEARS. I’m kind of tired of them. So do they continue to be in because people continue to buy them? And are skinny jeans in now, because boots and ballet flats are in. People need different types of clothes available because different body types demand different clothing, not to mention that people have different fashion sensiblities.
What I’m afraid of is that shoulder pads are supposedly coming back. If they come in full force it will be hard to find things without some in there. I’ve already bought something unknowingly with shoulder pads in them. I wasn’t totally happy about that.
Do you feel like a fashion puppet? Forced to buy what’s in style or not buy anything new at all?

Cost of a strat
I was walking around best buy looking at the electric keyboards and turned around to see guitars. Really cheap ones that say that they are made by Gibson and Fender. They were under 200 bucks along with the amp. I look at the box, well only the fender because that’s the kind I bought, in order to compare the cost and see what’s different about it. So my strat was 399 because it was made in Mexico and that one was around 100 or so, because it came with the amp. And considering the price of the American made guitars to my Mexican made one… I only hope the quality is more. Is the difference that is more assembly line style made and that the workers are paid less, because I noticed that where the workers are paid less and less so is the price.
I’m all for cheap stuff. Especially now with the economy and the low weight of the dollar, but I’m for quality and getting the bang for the buck. Also I don’t like to think that people are being ripped off so badly (workers and consumers both). What are we doing in are search for cheaper and cheaper goods? And is it even worth it?
The best guitars were said to be made in the late 50s and early 60s before they became mass produced. I’m sure they were more expensive comparatively and I wonder how much the workers were paid in comparison, but I wonder how much quality is lost. It is not only the guitar that has become like this. So many other things have been made cheap so that people can afford them, but as they are made cheap they are outsourced. Businesses try to rip off their workers to make profits and keep costs down.

A rant cuz everyone needs one
The price of everything is going up and the economy is going into a bad recession. I’m sure everyone knows this even though economists and everyone else keeps denying this. I’m sure they don’t want people to panic but I think what they’re doing is making things worse.
So what’s going up and why? and who’s doing what about it?
1. Food Because of gas the cost of trucking food is higher so the truckers need more money to bring the food in. Also the prices of corn is climbing because of all the flooding in the mid-west. So the price of popcorn is like doubling and everything with corn syrup or corn meal or just corn in general which seems to be most American food is going up. What are company’s doing to keep prices down? Making the portions smaller and even still the price is going up. Ice cream is kinda expensive now.
2. Electricity Dominion Virginia Power is raising electric rates by more than 18 percent this summer because of the soaring prices of coal, gas and oil (I don’t know about other companies or anywhere else all I can do is assume they have to raise prices too). The rates for the company have jumped by nearly 200% apparently so they have to raise rates. Hopefully it won’t go up 200%, but I think it will eventually, but the company is trying to work with people, but it does have to make a profit.
3. Gas Well that’s out of control. It just keeps going up. It think the national average is over $4 now.
It’s an endless circle back to the availablity and the cost of resources.
So hope you ditched that SUV and started carpooling or using public transportation. And hey maybe you’ll lose weight from eating those smaller portions.
I think hard times are ahead. Food prices all over the world are raising and the stock markets are dropping. And its getting harder to come across jobs and people are filing bankruptcy more and more often.
Did the stumulus check help? I don’t think so. Where did that money come from? The US is in so much debt from the war.
So I guess the things we can do is remember most importantly not to panic and learn to save money and drive less. Make sure our money is secure and learn to deal with having less.
